Site/Civil Engineering | Land Use Permitting
The Northeast STIHL Corporation has a reputation as the number one selling brand of gasoline powered chainsaws and outdoor power equipment. In January 2015, it was announced that Stihl, Inc. would relocate it's regional headquarters to Oxford, CT and would require site design support for a new 300,000 square-foot industrial and manufacturing facility to serve over 9,000 independent dealers across the country.
Civil 1 was the design engineer and lead coordinator for the permitting and approval process for Stihl, Inc. The site design for the proposed facility included an extensive stormwater management plan to protect surrounding wetlands from adverse impacts and maintain superior water quality. Civil 1 also prepared a detailed phasing plan for the multi-stage construction process.
