Project Manager

5-10 Years Experience Preferred

Civil 1 is seeking an experienced individual to serve as Project Manager for site civil engineering projects.  This position includes both management and design work on projects from conception to completion.  The applying individual should have experience in the processes of design, permitting, and construction management in a variety of private and public market sectors. Fluency in Civil3D, AutoCAD, and Land Development standards is required as this position will involve close collaboration with other members of the design and drafting team, as well as land use officials.  This position is an in-office position working with the project team.

Position Responsibilities Include:
  • Design work and management of all aspects of site civil projects: site drainage, utilities, road design, grading, septic design, technical documents, etc.
  • Time management and delegation of tasks for project engineers
  • Construction inspection and management responsibilities
  • Land Development Permitting – Local, State, & Federal Agencies
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships in the public and private sectors
  • Actively pursue new projects and clients as part of the Civil 1 Business Development plan
Qualification Requirements and Preferences:
  • 5 to 10 years of civil engineering experience in the land development field
  • PE License Required, or ability to obtain PE License within 2 years
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, HydroCAD, and HEC-RAS for site development and hydraulic/hydrology analysis
  • Experience as a project manager in delegating tasks, providing time management feedback, and budget control
  • Experience in the writing of reports, proposals, and technical documents
  • Experience and expertise in infrastructure and development projects
  • A strong record demonstrating the ability to increase professional responsibilities throughout the professional career
  • Well-connected and well-respected in the marketplace, with an ability to bring in clients and work to the firm
  • The ability to work Monday through Friday as well as occasional evening and weekend hours
